Head of Investment

The Head of Group Investment & Development is responsible for leading the Group's strategic investment, business development, and project development functions. The role provides strategic direction, governance oversight, and leadership across investment evaluation, commercial structuring, market intelligence, and earlystage project development up to financial close.

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Investment

1. Lead opportunity identification and strategic evaluation.
2. Oversee commercial structuring, valuation, and investment modelling.
3. Manage negotiations on commercial terms of project agreements.
4. Prepare investment papers for Management, Board, and Shareholders.
5. Ensure alignment with Group strategy and shareholder expectations.

Project Development/Management Oversight

1. Supervise PMs execution of technical due diligence, feasibility studies, EPC tendering, and regulatory processes.
2. Monitor PMs adherence to project schedules, critical paths, and risk mitigation plans.
3. Review PMs reports on engineering design, construction readiness, and compliance with project documents.

Provide escalation and governance oversight for major project issues.

Market Intelligence & External Relations

1. Lead market intelligence gathering energy trends, policies, and competitor activities.
2. Maintain strategic relationships with authorities, lenders, advisors, and industry partners.
3. Provide timely updates to senior management on market developments.

Governance & Reporting

1. Ensure compliance with SHEQ, respective countries regulatory, and EPH corporate governance requirements.
2. Oversee preparation of internal and external reporting materials.
3. Strengthen departmental procedures and governance frameworks.

Others

To perform other additional tasks assigned that are relevant and necessary to accomplish the company overall objectives, which may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Requirements

1. Degree in any relevant field
2. Master of Business Administration (MBA) would be advantageous
3. 15 years of experience
4. Experience in managing and leading a team of staff.
5. Experience in power plant operations & maintenance.
6. Experience on Financial Modelling
