Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Lead and execute logistics and distribution strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations including inbound, outbound, inventory accuracy, and material flow management.
- Ensure operational performance meets defined service levels, productivity metrics, and cost targets.
- Serve as the escalation point for operational matters requiring senior-level resolution.
Supply Chain & Planning Integration
- Collaborate closely with planning, production, and procurement teams to ensure material readiness and on-time fulfillment.
- Support demand planning, replenishment processes, and inventory optimization initiatives.
- Ensure production and shipment schedules are achieved in accordance with customer requirements.
- Contribute to cross-functional planning discussions to improve inventory management and distribution strategies.
Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Drive standardization and enhancement of logistics processes, including replenishment models, electronic data exchange systems, and demand management practices.
- Identify and implement productivity improvements, cost optimization initiatives, and workflow simplification programs.
- Monitor warehouse performance indicators and generate operational reports to support data-driven decision-making.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Address logistics-related customer concerns and ensure timely resolution of service issues.
- Present logistics performance updates and improvement initiatives to senior leadership as required.
Warehouse & Asset Management
- Ensure effective utilization and maintenance of warehouse facilities and material handling equipment.
- Establish preventive maintenance programs and evaluate future equipment needs to sustain operational efficiency.
- Optimize warehouse layout, storage configuration, and material movement processes.
Compliance, Safety & People Leadership
- Champion workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the logistics team.
- Lead workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Develop and retain a high-performing logistics team through structured leadership and coaching.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline. Master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in logistics, warehousing, or distribution leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain operations, inventory management systems, and distribution best practices.
- Proven ability to interpret business data, technical documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capability in managing teams, processes, and operational transformation initiatives.
