Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on a comprehensive divisional strategy for financial and product opportunities.
  • Provide strategic direction for financial goals, including pre-season plans and new store budgets.
  • Deliver divisional top-down planning strategies supporting Division goals.
  • Develop contingency plans based on customer insights and shifts in consumer behavior.
  • Approve financially sound season/category plans based on research and data analysis.
  • Review and guide divisional OTB position and strategies, performing trend analysis.
  • Analyze merchandise planning MIS analytics for actual sales, forecasts, and inventory needs.
  • Discuss and decide strategic plans for financials, sales, stock, and order quantity.
  • Communicate plans to the buying team for necessary execution, ensuring effective in-season management.
  • Periodically review merchandise plans to maximize profit and maintain target levels.
  • Maintain optimum inventory levels considering store requirements and working capital constraints.
  • Oversee product buys and merchandise flow to maximize sales, buying capacity, and warehouse workflow.
  • Analyze variance reports for stocks and sales against budgeted figures, providing growth direction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Buying & Merchandising, or a related discipline.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities with solid negotiation skills.
  • Highly numerate, with the ability to interpret data and drive informed decisions.
  • In-depth understanding of the Southeast Asia retail landscape, including market dynamics, consumer demand, and emerging trends.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in Business Intelligence tools and MS Office, with strong analytical and statistical aptitude.
