The Role
We are looking for a Head of Procurement to build and scale our global procurement function from the ground up. In this role, you will own the end-to-end procurement strategy, covering non-production categories including technology (cloud services, software, hardware), HR services, office administration, and marketing.
You will serve as a key strategic partner to our global leadership team, balancing cost efficiency, operational agility, and risk compliance in a fast-paced, decentralized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Strategy & Operations: Build and optimize the global procurement framework, including policies, processes, and supplier management systems.
- Strategic Sourcing: Lead end-to-end sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management for key spend categories (Tech, HR, Admin, Marketing).
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Finance, Legal, HR, Operations) to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Global Vendor Management: Develop and manage a network of global vendors, ensuring competitive pricing, service quality, and supply chain resilience.
- Risk & Compliance: Establish a robust compliance framework to manage vendor risk, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Negotiation Leadership: Lead high-stakes negotiations for multi-million dollar contracts, ensuring favorable terms and long-term value.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience:
- 8+ years of procurement experience, with a proven track record in the fintech, crypto/Web3, or big tech sectors.
- Hands-on experience in indirect procurement, covering technology (cloud/SaaS/hardware), HR services, and corporate services (office/admin).
- Demonstrated success in building procurement functions from 0 to 1 or leading large-scale cost optimization programs.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strategic Negotiator: Deep expertise in vendor negotiations, cost modeling, and contract management.
- Operational Builder: Ability to design and implement scalable procurement processes in a fast-moving environment.
- Global Mindset: Experience managing cross-border procurement projects; deep familiarity with APAC vendor networks is a strong plus.
- Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required for high-level commercial negotiations and contract drafting.
Industry Knowledge:
- Interest in or foundational knowledge of the cryptocurrency/Web3 industry, with the ability to quickly understand decentralized business models and their procurement implications.
