Job Description

SUMMARY

  • Work with the GM, District Managers and Area Managers to drive retail sales, four-wall profit and all other retail-oriented targets across all countries in the region.
  • Oversee all Victoria's Secret businesses in region under Valiram.
  • Partner with the General Manager and other key stakeholders to deliver all new store opening on time, on budget and on brand.
  • Drive Retail excellence in line with the brand and Valiram standards.
  • Deliver ON-BRAND customer experience in all stores by working together with District Managers, Area Managers and Store Managers to deliver the highest level of service.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Drive Sales and Profitability

  • Assist the GM to develop annual business plans to reflect brand positioning, negotiate key aspects of the planned delivery and expansion with the brand.
  • Maximize turnover by ensure accurate, timely and commercial sales planning and forecasting.
  • Ensure the brand delivers business plan profit through delivery of both volume and cash margin in existing as well as new stores.
  • Oversee all new store openings from a retail operations perspective.
  • Ensure that the Area / Store Management and retail operations are driving sales based on the key drivers of the Limited Brands and in line with VG strategic direction
  • Oversee the compilation of all related reports and statistics related to the retail performance of the Brand.
  • Manage and maintain a positive working relationship with the Brand principal.

  • Work constructively with Country GMs, Valiram retail operations teams and other internal Valiram stakeholders to drive sales and retail excellence.
  • Share customer insight and competitive marketing intel with Brand Principal as required in consultation with Directors, COO and GM.

New Store Openings

  • Partner with GM to deliver all new store openings on time and on budget.
  • Collaborate with Projects team and contractors on site to ensure on-time delivery of new projects.

Control Inventory Management

  • Work with merchandising department to manage full price and mark down sales, intake margins, levels of mark down activity and terminal stock.
  • Evaluate stock requirements and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Ensure maximum stock turns and controlling aged inventory.

Improve and Maintain the Service Standards

  • Guarantee that our stores are offering WOW customer service in stores via training and coaching.
  • Work with Area / Store Managers to train & coach on-going basis staff in service standards, Wow Service Training.

Compliance

  • Ensure all products have the right registration approvals, correct barcodes and price tags.
  • Monitor and track retail operational procedures are adhered by the store teams so that shrinkage is at a minimum or preferably none.

Marketing and Visual Merchandising (Creative Services)

  • Work with the Marketing department to properly implement marketing initiatives in the stores in the region.
  • Ensure CRM and loyalty programs are implemented efficiently to drive sales revenue.
  • Ensure compliance on all Visual Merchandising standards at all stores and train, if necessary
  • Share store photos with Brand(s) in a timely manner.

E-Commerce

  • Strategize and implement effective e-commerce campaigns for brand's website.
  • Ensure website content is up-to-date and engaging and in-line with Brand identity.
  • Analyze sales data, and collaborate with other departments to optimize online sales performance.
  • Monitor and track E-commerce platform performance and make recommendations for improvements.

Team Leadership

  • Conduct weekly store visits across all markets and report back on observations.
  • Monitor Rosters of all staffs/all stores and be responsible for Senior Operations / Area Manager performance.
  • Conduct timely staff appraisal and quarterly performance review.
  • Accurately compile regional commission pay out and stock take adjustments in a timely manner per VG SOP.
  • Improve staff morale leading to positive and dynamic working attitude and environment.
  • Create a relationship of trust and respect with the brand principal.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Min. 10 – 15 years of working experience, preferably in a comparable retail environment.
  • Strong, independent leadership skills to manage and drive solutions
  • Good team building, interpersonal skills, and coaching and people development skills
  • Strong communication skills; able to communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • A team player with positive attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good business acumen; able to identify business trends and react quickly to the needs of the business
  • High level presentation, influencing & commercial negotiation skills
  • Willing to travel both locally and overseas
