Job Description

  • Lead and manage the overall sales organisation in Malaysia, including direct and indirect teams of 30 or more people.
  • Develop and execute national sales strategies aligned to business growth objectives.
  • Oversee all key sales channels, including General Trade, Modern Trade, and other relevant routes-to-market within the beverage sector.
  • Drive sales performance, distributor effectiveness, and in-market execution excellence.
  • Set clear targets, KPIs, and accountability frameworks for the sales organisation.
  • Coach, develop, and strengthen the leadership bench within the sales team.
  • Act as the key market representative in communication with regional and global leadership.
  • Support organisational development during periods where local leadership structures are evolving.
  • Uphold company values and act as a cultural bridge between local teams and regional/global headquarters.

The Successful Applicant

  • Extensive leadership experience in the beverage FMCG industry.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing large sales teams of at least 30 people.
  • Deep understanding of the Malaysia beverage market, including channel dynamics and customer behaviour.
  • Strong experience working with distributors and managing complex sales organisations.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on market involvement.
  • Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and reading) is required to support effective regional communication.
