The role involves developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies to protect the banks physical assets, employees, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to protect the banks physical assets, employees, and customers including developing and implanting plans to address security incidents.
- Provide strategic guidance and advice to senior management on security risks, compliance matters, and best practices including identifying potential security threats and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Oversee day to day security operations, managing the security team, providing guidance and ensuring that all physical and operational security measures are effectively in place.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies and engage with key stakeholders to enhance the banks security posture and capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and legal security standards.
- Lead the creation and execution of security awareness programs to foster a strong security culture across the organization.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance the banks security frameworks to stay ahead of emerging threats and industry trends.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Law Enforcement, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a security leadership role, ideally within the banking or financial sector Former senior ranks in the Royal Malaysia Police would be an added advantage
- In depth knowledge of security risk management, regulatory compliance, and crisis management and understanding of law and enforcement agencies and protocols
- Proven experience in developing and executing large scale security initiatives Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision making skills
