Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Lead the development and execution of the Physical Channel Department's strategic direction by translating EPF's corporate strategy into clear, integrated and measurable departmental plans. The role is responsible for driving the annual and multi-year strategic planning cycle, aligning priorities across headquarters, regions and branches, and ensuring that strategic initiatives and KPI architecture are fully aligned with organisational objectives, operational needs and service delivery outcomes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development of the Physical Channel Department's strategic framework and strategic plans in alignment with EPF's corporate direction, operational mandate and service delivery priorities.
- Drive and coordinate the end-to-end annual strategic planning cycle, including strategy workshops, priority reviews, planning documentation and consolidation of departmental and regional plans.
- Analyse environmental trends, policy developments, service delivery needs, current performance and operational issues to identify strategic priorities, improvement opportunities and key risks requiring management attention.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear initiatives, programmes and action plans that can be effectively implemented across headquarters, regions and branches.
- Coordinate, monitor and track cross-functional strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with objectives, timelines and intended outcomes.
- Lead the development and enhancement of strategic KPI architecture to ensure clear linkage between strategic objectives, performance indicators and operational outcomes.
- Prepare strategic reports, management presentations and decision-support materials to enable informed, data-driven and forward-looking decision-making by departmental leadership.
- Work closely with regions, branches and support functions to ensure integrated planning, transformation alignment and consistent performance expectations across the Physical Channel ecosystem.
- Lead the Strategic Planning team by setting direction, overseeing deliverables, building team capability and ensuring the quality of the department's strategic outputs.
- Identify implementation gaps, recommend intervention measures and strengthen strategic governance to improve the effectiveness of departmental execution.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Malaysian citizen
- Pass in Bahasa Melayu, including oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree with honours in Management, Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, Finance, Statistics or equivalent qualifications recognised by the relevant authorities.
- Possess a Master's Degree or MBA is an added advantage.
- Possess 13 to 16 years of relevant working experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role in strategic planning, corporate planning, performance management, business transformation, operational strategy or related areas.
- Experience working in a large, complex and multi-stakeholder organisation.
- Proven experience in developing strategic plans, management papers, performance reports, presentations and decision-support materials for senior leadership.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data, trends and operational issues into strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional coordination and influencing skills across multiple levels of the organisation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Professional certification in strategy, project management, performance management or related disciplines is an added advantage.
