Position Purpose
The Regional Supply Chain Head is responsible for driving the strategic direction and overarching roadmap for our supply chain operations across the region. oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring seamless logistics, inventory management, procurement, and distribution across the region. This pivotal position requires deep familiarity with the logistics networks and trade links of key APAC markets. His/her leadership will be in optimizing costs, enhancing supply chain resilience, and fueling our growth ambitions in the region. while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Supply Chain Development:
Develop and execute regional supply chain strategies aligned with business goals and regulatory frameworks.
Lead initiatives to enhance supply chain agility, resilience, and sustainability across APAC.
Collaborate with commercial, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to ensure seamless execution of supply chain plans.
2. Strategic Procurement / Sourcing
In alignment with global procurement strategy, oversee strategic sourcing of raw materials
Manage supplier relationships with a focus on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure procurement practices comply with industry regulations and corporate standards.
3. International logistics and project management
Oversee APAC transport and distribution to meet customer needs in complex projects and incoterms.
Ensure compliance with international and local regulations for product handling, storage, and transport.
Optimize logistics networks to balance cost, service levels, and environmental impact.
4. Performance & Analytics:
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the supply chain.
Provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to regional leadership to inform strategic decisions.
5. Technology & Digitalization:
Champion the adoption of supply chain management software (SAP, planning tools) and analytics platforms to enhance visibility, control, and decision-making across the region.
6. Compliance & Risk Management
Monitor and mitigate supply chain risks including supplier disruptions, regulatory changes, and geopolitical factors.
Ensure full compliance with trade regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards.
Lead audits and corrective actions to maintain operational integrity and safety.
7. Cross-Border Coordination:
Set up Malaysia Supply Chain team
Ensure seamless integration cross regional supply chain. Synchronize planning, procurement, and logistics activities to achieve regional objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience:
A minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Experienced in sheet metal discrete manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
Hands-on experience in material and inventory management, production planning, sourcing, and logistics.
Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
Prior experience in collaborating with regional or global headquarters.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong command of core supply chain planning principles and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
Expertise in using SAP and supply chain management software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Excel).
In-depth understanding of APAC trade, customs regulations, and logistics landscape.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively across cultures and borders.
Experience with project management
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or master's degree is a plus.
Others
Fluent in English. Asian language (e.g. Mandarin) is a plus.
Ethical, integrity and in line with FCPA regulations
Willing to work under pressure and travel frequently (up to 40% of time)
