Lead the end-to-end process of acquiring properties (landed or otherwise) via purchase or lease for the Bank's operations, including Branches, Business Units, Off-Bank ATMs, Head Office departments, Managers residences, holiday premises, and other operational locations within Malaysia and overseas.
Manage and administer tenancy agreements for both lease-in and lease-out (including Laman) viz-a-viz drafting, review, negotiation, and execution ensuring rental rates reflect prevailing market conditions and all contractual terms are legally acceptable and complied with throughout the lease period.
Oversee Bank-owned properties, including land and strata title management, rental evaluation, and chargeback to respective owned branches / business unit & etc.
Lead end to end process of termination of agreement for rented premises ensuring compliance with provision in the tenancy agreement and organizational requirements while safeguarding the organization's interests.
Manage the disposal of the Group's excess properties and assets acquired by Maybank Malaysia in settlement of outstanding debts, through open tenders and private treaty arrangements.
Job Requirments
Experience in real estate, property management, or portfolio management will be an advantage.
Demonstrated capability in preparing high-quality management reports, board papers, and committee submissions.
In-depth knowledge of tenancy agreements, lease structuring, property laws, and regulatory requirements relevant to banking operations.
Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management, regulators, and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical, communication, and strategic planning abilities, supported by a continuous improvement mindset.
