Join Cagamas, Malaysia's leading financial institution, and play a pivotal role in shaping our financial reporting and taxation strategies. We are seeking a dynamic leader to oversee statutory reporting, corporate taxation, Islamic finance, treasury accounting, and capital management functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Statutory Reporting:
- Lead preparation and review of annual and interim financial statements, liaise with external auditors, and ensure compliance with MFRS standards.
Taxation & Zakat:
- Manage corporate tax returns, liaise with regulators, and oversee Zakat submissions.
Business Partnering & Transformation:
- Drive MFRS implementation projects, support Islamic finance initiatives, and champion system upgrades for reporting efficiency.
Treasury Accounting:
- Provide accounting solutions for treasury products, review reconciliations, and hedge accounting documentation.
Transfer Pricing & SSA:
- Oversee documentation and regulatory liaison for transfer pricing and shared service allocations.
Capital Management:
- Prepare and review capital adequacy ratios and support CFO in board-level discussions.
Rating Agency & Statistical Reporting:
- Manage annual rating processes with Moody's, RAM, MARC, and ensure timely reporting to BNM and Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia.
Leadership & Governance:
- Coach and manage a team, support CFO in board matters, and drive automation and internal control improvements.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Professional qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, CPA or similar)
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years in financial institutions and/or audit firms
Skills:
- Strong MFRS knowledge
- Understanding of financial services, treasury products, hedge accounting, and BNM guidelines
- Familiarity with Islamic and conventional banking systems
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
