Job Summary
The Head of Retail Business is responsible for the end-to-end performance of the retail station, balancing rigorous operational compliance with strategic financial growth. This role requires a blend of high-level stakeholder management and boots-on-the-ground technical oversight.
Job Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership & Compliance
- Daily Supervision: Monitor Forecourt and Store operations to ensure 100% adherence to brand standards and HSSE protocols.
- Technical Oversight: Ensure Supervisors (SV) and Assistant Supervisors (ASV) complete all tasks within the TEA application.
- Regulatory Readiness: Maintain all relevant licenses and ensure the site is audit-ready for PDB, Mesra, and authorities like KPDN or BOMBA.
- 24/7 Availability: Remain on-call to manage urgent fuel diversions, delivery rejections, or financial emergencies.
- Financial & Inventory Integrity
- Data Reconciliation: Verify Daily Sales Reports (LJH) and Delivery Notes (DN) against system data; manage stock receipts and return reports.
- Inventory Control: Conduct daily wet stock and store reconciliations to eliminate shrinkage and prevent pilferage.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee IRB e-Invoice submissions and quarterly financial audit reports to PDB.
- Budgetary Discipline: Manage the annual operating budget with a focus on reducing utility costs and unnecessary overtime.
- Growth & Stakeholder Management
- Primary Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for Petronas Dagangan Berhad (PDB), Mesra Retail, and C-Biz.
- Ancillary Income: Identify and negotiate with third-party vendors (ATMs, food trucks, courier hubs) to monetize underutilized space.
- Customer Excellence: Resolve public complaints via Mesralink within the stipulated Turn-Around Time (TAT).
- Asset & Maintenance Management
- Preventative Maintenance: Implement schedules for dispensers, chillers, and POS systems to ensure zero downtime.
- Site Image: Perform daily inspections to ensure superior cleanliness and compliance with SS3/FIMR standards.
Job Requirements
- Possesses Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Retail Business or other relevant field
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of working experience in Retail Operations
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experienced in managing and leading group of people
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office software i.e, Words, Excel, and PowerPoint
