We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head, SME Banking Business Centre to lead a high-performing team, drive business growth, and strengthen Maybank's position as the preferred banking partner for SMEs.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

• Develop and execute the SME Business Centre's business and marketing strategies to achieve sustainable growth and business targets.
• Lead the implementation of SME Banking strategies aligned with the overall SME Banking sales plan and organizational objectives.
• Drive customer acquisition initiatives while expanding and deepening relationships with existing SME customers.
• Identify emerging market opportunities, industry trends, and business developments to accelerate portfolio growth and expand market share.

Portfolio Management & Profitability

• Manage the overall profitability, business performance, asset quality, and customer satisfaction of the SME Business Centre.
• Formulate and execute customer retention and portfolio utilization strategies to enhance business profitability and long-term customer value.
• Monitor and manage portfolio risks, including Special Mention Accounts (SMA), Newly Classified Non-Performing Loans (NCNPL), and Credit Guarantee Corporation (CGC) accounts in collaboration with the Early Care Centre, Support & Service Hub (S2H), and relevant stakeholders.

Stakeholder & Partnership Management

• Collaborate closely with internal and external business partners to develop and deliver compelling value propositions for SME customers.
• Build strong relationships across business units and key stakeholders to drive seamless execution and business success.

People Leadership

• Inspire, coach, and lead a diverse team toward achieving ambitious business goals while fostering a high-performance culture.
• Drive accountability, ownership, and operational excellence while ensuring timely delivery of business objectives.
• Create an environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and continuous development.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong experience in SME Banking, Commercial Banking, Business Banking, or related credit-focused environments.
• Proven track record in sales leadership, business development, portfolio management, and customer relationship management.
• Strong understanding of credit assessment, risk management, and SME banking products and solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to identify new business opportunities and translate ideas into measurable business outcomes.
