Health And Safety Officer

Role and Responsibilities

1. To in charge of health, safety, environmental matters on the project site to ensure compliance to the requirements Department of Safety and Health, Malaysia
2. To conduct tool box & safety committee meeting.
3. To promote and enforce effective environmental, safety and health practice throughout project sites.
4. To coordinate and conduct regular inspection and carry out investigation on site accidents.
5. To liaise with relevant authorities and clients on environmental, safety and health issues.
6. To perform all matters on safety and health requirements as instructed by management.
7. To implement and maintain Environmental, safety & health (EHS) policies and procedures.
8. Maintain document related to SHE and provide monthly report to management submitted timely.
9. To produce monthly & weekly safety and health report to management, client and authorities.
10. To maintain and produce a safety and health plan for project.
11. Any other ad-hoc project to be assigned.
12. OSH Act 1994 (Safety and Health Officer) Regulations 1997 (PART V)
13. Liase with authorities such as DOSH, BOMBA, Police and other relevant authorities
14. Maintain document and submit report as required and as when requested by management.
15. Update and maintain for ISO 45001

Job Requirements

1. Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or any related Engineering courses
2. Possess valid Certificate of Safety and Health Officer (OYKSHO) with DOSH
3. Have at least 3 years working experiences
4. Familiar with standard concepts and best practices of construction
5. Good writing and verbal communication skill both in Bahasa and English
6. Able to prepare all the requirement documentations, operational checks and reports for the SHE Management System to be compliant with ISO 45001 standards.
