Job Description
Role And Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying risks and force a pro-active planning process on Safety program.
- To ensure and maintain working areas including plant room as a healthy working environment for employees, which is, as far as reasonably practicable, safe and without risk to Health & Safety.
- To comply with all Intel & JLL Standard requirements including all related management system i.e. ISO45001, 14001, RBA Standard.
- Identify and evaluate risk and hazards, environmental aspects and impact and safe work practices in the workplace, help develop controls for identified hazards & environmental aspects and coordinate the implementation of control or preventive measures by performing routine line walk and audit and communicate observations and monitor closure with action item owner.
- Measure, evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of Safety control system, policies, and procedures and recommend changes to improve processes, eliminate/reduce workplace hazards and eliminate/reduce environmental pollutions
- Investigate, compile, analyze and report Safety performance including industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases and environmental investigation accidents
- Coordinates relevant activities as a management representative, such as daily toolbox/pre-shift meeting and management at the site.
- Review, develop, and enforce the implementation of Safety related procedures in response with customer requirements, company and applicable laws/regulatory.
- Has knowledge and can facilitate EHS Induction and other training mainly on EHS and related topics. for relevant suppliers/contractors.
- Arranging, facilitating, and tracking of JLL employees EHS training.
- Facilitates & assists Occupational, safety, environmental & health incident investigation.
- Tracks EHS Local Regulatory, assess application and communicate implementation to all stakeholders.
- Implementing corrective actions and suspending operations if required.
- Advising various parties on workers compensation claims pertaining to workplace exposures.
- Maintaining current knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Diploma or Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety/Engineering or any relevant studies.
- 2 to 5 years of working experience as EHS Engineer & SHO.
- Familiar with Malaysian related Guideline and Legislation (i.e OSHA 2022, FMA, EQA and etc)
- Competent Safety & Health Officer (registered with DOSH- Green Book Holder) Compulsory.
- Have own transport.
- Good verbal communication and good in English business writing.
- Presentation skill and well versed in Microsoft office application.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and coordination skills.
