About The Role

The Healthcare Insights Specialist delivers timely, accurate and actionable data-driven insights supporting the execution and monitoring of the Healthcare Division's strategic initiatives.

  • Develop and maintains BI assets that deliver business insights to senior stakeholders
  • Perform deep-dive analyses to identify trends and opportunities for performance improvement and new value creation.
  • Support senior stakeholders with evidence-based recommendations
  • Actively contribute to strengthening and enriching healthcare data assets

The incumbent needs to be detailed oriented, communicate effectively and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

Performance Management

  • Own end-to-end development and maintenance of performance management reports.
  • Prepare analysis of key trends in business performance.

Business Insights

  • Lead deep dives into defined problem statements to identify key drivers, performance gaps and opportunities.

Healthcare Analytics

  • Develop specifications and standards for dashboards and reports, with high QA practices and reusability.
  • Coach junior analysts on best practices in methods, quality assurance and data visualization.

Healthcare Data

  • Perform data reconciliation to source, document data lineage and reproducible scripts / notebooks.
  • Support mapping and validation of new data sources to be onboarded into Healthcare Datamart.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education

Bachelors degree from a recognized university in any of the preferred fields of study is required:

  • Data Science, Applied Mathematics or Statistics;
  • Health Economics;
  • Life Sciences (biomedical science, pharmacy) with analytical course work;
  • Engineering (with quantitative focus); or
  • Actuarial Science

Working Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in analytics, consulting, or actuarial role, preferably in a healthcare or payer setting. Experience should demonstrate progressive analytical responsibility.

Skills

  • Ability to frame and communicate ambiguous or complex questions into structured analytical problems
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills to convey complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytics tools and programming (e.g. SQL, R, Python) and business visualization (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)
