Role Description The Host is a full-time, on-site role based at Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur. The Host will welcome and seat guests, manage reservations and walk-ins, and ensure a smooth flow of service in the dining area. This role includes providing attentive guest service, coordinating with the Food & Beverage and culinary teams, and maintaining a clean, organized reception and waiting area. The Host will handle guest inquiries, support sales of menu items and special promotions, and assist with guest feedback and follow-up. The position also involves learning and adhering to hotel service standards, participating in ongoing training, and contributing to a gracious, professional atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly and confidently with guests and colleagues.
- Proven Customer Service skills, focused on creating welcoming, personalized, and respectful guest experiences.
- Ability to participate in and support Training activities, including learning brand standards and coaching peers when needed.
- Basic knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including menus, dietary considerations, and service etiquette.
- Aptitude for Sales, such as promoting specials, upselling offerings, and supporting revenue goals.
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurants, or guest-facing roles is preferred.
- Professional appearance, reliability, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
