You are responsible for providing administrative support to the Housekeeping Department, handling various clerical tasks, maintaining records, and assisting in ensuring the smooth operation of the department. As a Housekeeping Coordinator, you're not just supporting efficient housekeeping operations – you're spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Responsibilities

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

  • To be responsible for the safe keeping of all keys held in the Housekeeping Office and the records of keys issuing.
  • To answer and record all telephone calls to ensure the messages are passed on to the related department or section for action.
  • To prepare the weekly requisitions for guestroom amenities and cleaning supplies from the store rooms.
  • To receive, record and handle Lost & Found items.
  • To prepare and issue VIP room amenities.
  • To update and maintain all relevant Housekeeping files and records.
  • To update the room status periodically in the computer.
  • To control the entire paging system for all Housekeeping team member.
  • To forward all received information from Front Office with regards to guests, such as arrivals etc.
  • To keep record of Housekeeping equipment writes off and forward to Finance.
  • To issue vouchers for Loss and Breakage of articles and initiate replacement.
  • To record items on Loan and update on daily basis, initiate a monthly inventory of the same.
  • To communicate with Engineering and the GS Technicians daily works orders and follow up on outstanding work.
  • To arrange Baby Sitting Service for guests.
  • To maintain a supply of first aid items.
  • To perform any other duties this may be assigned to him / her.

In Addition, This Role Requires The Following Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in a housekeeping role within a hospitality environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and excellent customer service.
  • Effective verbal and written communication; able to handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally.
  • Works well with other departments and staff members.
  • Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and basic computer applications.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
