Job Description

Working Days / Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30AM - 05:30PM Saturday 08:30AM - 01:00PM [5.5 working days]

Working Location: Yong Peng, Johor

Job Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  1. Manage end-to-end recruitment process including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
  2. Work closely with hiring managers to understand manpower requirements and job specifications.
  3. Source candidates through multiple channels (job portals, referrals, agencies, and walk-ins).
  4. Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring a smooth candidate experience.
  5. Conduct initial interviews and assessments to shortlist suitable candidates.
  6. Prepare offer letters and manage pre-employment documentation.
  7. Monitor recruitment progress and provide regular updates to management.
  8. Support employer branding initiatives and participate in career fairs/open days when required.

Industrial Relations (IR)

  1. Manage the full spectrum of IR/ER matters including disciplinary actions, grievances, counseling, disputes, and termination / dismissals.
  2. Conduct investigations, issue show cause letters, and coordinate Domestic Inquiry (DI) sessions.
  3. Advise supervisors and employees on disciplinary procedures, labor laws, and company policies.
  4. Prepare documentation for Labor Department, IR Department, and Industrial Court cases.
  5. Maintain accurate records of all IR / ER cases and proceedings.

Performance Management

  1. Support the design and implementation of performance management frameworks (e.g., KPIs) for workshop and technical teams.
  2. Coordinate the performance cycle: goal setting, mid-year reviews, annual appraisals, and calibration sessions.
  3. Guide managers in setting measurable performance goals aligned with operational needs.
  4. Identify performance trends, high-potential staff, and underperformers for PIP interventions.
  5. Assist in developing and tracking Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
  6. Analyze performance data to support decisions on promotions, training needs, and workforce planning.

Requirements

  1. Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. 3-5 years of relevant experience in Recruitment , Industrial Relations , and Performance Management .
  3. Strong understanding of Malaysian labor laws and disciplinary procedures.
  4. Hands-on experience in investigations, Domestic Inquiries (DI), and case handling.
  5. Familiarity with KPIs, OKRs, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIP).
  6. Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office experience with HRIS / HRMS is an added advantage.
  8. Willing to travel to workshop sites when required.
