Job Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end recruitment process including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand manpower requirements and job specifications.
- Source candidates through multiple channels (job portals, referrals, agencies, and walk-ins).
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring a smooth candidate experience.
- Conduct initial interviews and assessments to shortlist suitable candidates.
- Prepare offer letters and manage pre-employment documentation.
- Monitor recruitment progress and provide regular updates to management.
- Support employer branding initiatives and participate in career fairs/open days when required.
Industrial Relations (IR)
- Manage the full spectrum of IR/ER matters including disciplinary actions, grievances, counseling, disputes, and termination / dismissals.
- Conduct investigations, issue show cause letters, and coordinate Domestic Inquiry (DI) sessions.
- Advise supervisors and employees on disciplinary procedures, labor laws, and company policies.
- Prepare documentation for Labor Department, IR Department, and Industrial Court cases.
- Maintain accurate records of all IR / ER cases and proceedings.
Performance Management
- Support the design and implementation of performance management frameworks (e.g., KPIs) for workshop and technical teams.
- Coordinate the performance cycle: goal setting, mid-year reviews, annual appraisals, and calibration sessions.
- Guide managers in setting measurable performance goals aligned with operational needs.
- Identify performance trends, high-potential staff, and underperformers for PIP interventions.
- Assist in developing and tracking Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Analyze performance data to support decisions on promotions, training needs, and workforce planning.
Requirements
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Recruitment , Industrial Relations , and Performance Management .
- Strong understanding of Malaysian labor laws and disciplinary procedures.
- Hands-on experience in investigations, Domestic Inquiries (DI), and case handling.
- Familiarity with KPIs, OKRs, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIP).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office experience with HRIS / HRMS is an added advantage.
- Willing to travel to workshop sites when required.
