JOB DESCRIPTION
The HR Manager plays a strategic and operational role in aligning HR initiatives with the goals of the Global Business Services (GBS) center. This role provides the overall linkage between the people-related needs and align with the Global HR policies and programs from GBS and COEs based in GBS location This role involves close collaboration with the GBS Lead, Heads of Departments (HODs), Line Managers, and Country HR to drive talent strategies, support business transformation, ensure a positive employee experience and implementing people solutions that support strategic business goals
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE
HR Partnership with GBS Lead, HOD's and Line Manager
- Align HR strategies with the overall goals of the GBS center and the broader organization.
- Partner with senior leadership to support business transformation and change management initiatives.
- Drive talent strategies that support scalability, efficiency, and innovation.
- Partner with local leaders to facilitate local management in empowering people activities in effective and consistent way.
- Provide professional advice to support strategic decision of the GBS based on the interpretation of HR data analytics, policies and procedures, employment legislation, employee engagement, capability building, recruitment strategies, managing change processes, providing risk analysis and GBS Market insights
- Foster a positive employee experience through responsive HR support.
- Responsible for manpower planning and budgeting, and engagement program in partnership with GBS Lead and HOD in collaboration with Country HR Lead
HR Support for Line Managers
- Form strong relationships with the management team to be able to challenge and coach in a high performance environment
- Actively identify, mediate and solve existing problem/complaint from local team, manage engagement programs, maintain employee database (including headcount monitoring & database management) to support smooth operations in GBS
- Foster a positive employee experience through responsive HR support.
- Participate in department meetings in the GBS environment and another related programs
- Ensure suppliers services under HR scope are in compliance with company and government policy
Operation Activities
- Partner with key stakeholders to ensure compliance by participating in audits and related programs.
- Support local management with regards to employment pass, internal or external audit, local or global operational reporting and 3rd party management related to HR services
- Manage internal communication at GBS
HR Cycle Activities
- Perform, monitor and evaluate HR Cycle activities for GBS team based in Malaysia to ensure the compliance & alignment of global policy, need and priority. This includes but not limited to recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, organizational development, career management, performance appraisal, talent & salary review, compensation & benefit, exit procedure and retirement program.
- Create, update and monitor the local HR policies (including HR related matters in Callebaut Connect (ServiceNow), SOP, work instruction) to ensure the alignment with corporate and government policies
- Liaise and support global project where relevant
- Frequency: Weekly & case by case based on activity
Industrial Relations Management
- Provide accurate labor report to government, maintain a good relationship with employees and act as the corporate representative in the public/government agendas
- Responsible for managing industrial relations matters
- Be well versed with HR legislation and related market trends
- Build relationship with surrounding community
- Frequency: Case by Case
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 8 years of HR experience, preferably with a few years in Shared Services or Global Business Services environments
- Managerial experience (Direct or indirect)
- Strong knowledge of HR Operations and Compliance
- Strong understanding in the whole HR cycle activities (recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, organizational development, career management, performance appraisal, talent & salary review, compensation & benefit, exit procedure and retirement program);
- Professional degree (Human Resources qualification preferred)
- Well versed with local Labor Laws such as Employment Act and Industrial Relation Act;
- Strategic, conceptual and analytical skills, ability to drive continuous improvement;
- Planning, priority setting, problem solving and monitoring skills;
- Fluent in English
- Familiar with HRIS/Success Factors
- Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations;
- Deep understanding of organizational and individual development;
- Familiar with engagement, diversity & inclusion program.
- Proficient in HR Systems (SuccessFactors, Workday etc)
- Good knowledge of external employment and development trends, labour markets and competitors;
- Proactive and possess ability to work in fast-paced global environments
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management
