We are seeking an assertive, resilient, and influential HR leader with strong professional integrity and independent judgment. The ideal candidate MUST BE confident in voicing professional opinions, influencing senior stakeholders, and safeguarding HR governance, compliance, and best practices.
This role requires a strong leadership presence and the ability to engage effectively with senior operations management while maintaining objectivity in people-related decisions. The successful candidate should be capable of holding firm and constructive discussions when necessary, balancing business needs with employment legislation, HR policies, and organizational values.
The individual must be able to operate independently, drive HR initiatives, challenge decisions professionally when risks arise, and ensure that HR remains a strategic business partner while upholding sound governance and compliance standards across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management
- Lead and manage full-spectrum HR functions across overseas operations, including recruitment, compensation & benefits, performance management, employee relations, training & development, and HR compliance.
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with local labour laws and company standards.
Compensation & Benefits
- Design, implement, and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
- Oversee payroll coordination and benefits administration in accordance with local regulations.
HR Rymnet Systems & Process Improvement
- Establish, review, and optimize HR policies, systems, and workflows across overseas markets.
- Balance headquarters requirements with local employment practices and cultural differences.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Partner with business leaders to identify workforce needs and succession planning requirements.
- Lead recruitment for key positions and develop local talent pipelines.
- Expand and manage recruitment channels to ensure timely hiring of critical talent.
Performance Management
- Develop and implement performance management frameworks.
- Support departments in goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, and employee development initiatives.
Employee Relations
- Manage employment contracts, employee communications, disciplinary matters, grievance handling, and labour dispute resolution.
- Promote employee engagement and positive workplace culture across all locations.
Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and implement learning initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor training effectiveness and support leadership development programs.
HR Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare regular HR reports for headquarters, including workforce analytics, compensation data, turnover trends, and performance metrics.
- Monitor changes in labour legislation and employment practices across overseas markets and implement necessary updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5-8 years of HR experience
- At least 3 years of experience in multinational HR operations.
- Experience working with Chinese multinational companies will be an added advantage.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
- Mandarin proficiency is required due to frequent communication with headquarters and overseas stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment, compensation & benefits, performance management, employee relations, training & development, and HR compliance.
- Familiarity with labour laws and employment practices across multiple countries is highly desirable.
