About the role
- Work Location Butterworth, Penang
- Reporting Line People Service Lead
- Working hours 8.30am - 5.15pm
Key responsibilities
- Manage plant attendance and ensure accuracy for payroll processing.
- Administer biometric systems (finger/face scan) and personal lockers.
- Generate reports on working hours non-compliance and unproductive time.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and audit requirements.
- Monitor outsourced vendors adherence to ethical audit standards.
- Conduct induction for outsourced employees and support onboarding.
- Monitor compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Handle renewal of plant licenses and local authority documents.
- Participate in audits and inspections (e.g., lockers, hostels).
- Organize sports, recreational activities, and festive events.
- Serve as committee member for Safety Committee & SWRC.
- Execute cross-functional and ad-hoc tasks as instructed.
- Communicate effectively between superior and relevant parties.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure quality, health, and safety standards are met.
- Bachelor's Degree in Administration / Human Resources or any other related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as people services or a related role. Exposure to a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
- Good capabilities of handling the tasks/projects independently and have courage to deal with different levels of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of labour law and ethical audit requirements.
