You will act as a strategic business partner to the Retail Operations team, ensuring we attract, develop, and retain the best talent to deliver an ultimate luxury consumer experience. You are the guardian of L'Oral's culture and the driver of retail excellence through people.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition & Casting

  • Define and lead the recruitment strategy for the retail field force, ensuring a constant pipeline of high-caliber talent.
  • Move beyond traditional hiring to a casting mindset: selecting individuals who embody the specific DNA, aesthetics, and values of our luxury brands.
  • Oversee the onboarding process to ensure every new retail employee feels a strong sense of belonging and brand immersion from day one.

2. Learning & Development (L&D) Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with the Brand Education teams to align technical product training with soft skills and luxury service attitudes.
  • Identify high-potential Beauty Advisors and create clear career paths (e.g., into Counter Management, Field Coaching, or Corporate roles).
  • Coach Retail Managers on leadership, emotional intelligence, and team motivation.

3. Performance Management & Compensation

  • Drive the performance review process for the field, ensuring objectives are aligned with both sales targets and qualitative service KPIs.
  • Manage the retail commission and incentive structures in partnership with Finance and Retail Ops to ensure they are competitive and motivating.
  • Handle sensitive employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution within the stores/counters.

4. Retail Employee Experience & Engagement.

  • Develop initiatives to reduce turnover and increase employee loyalty in a highly competitive market.
  • Act as a champion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) within our retail teams, ensuring our counters reflect the diversity of our consumers.

5. HR Operations & Labor Relations

  • Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, specifically regarding retail working hours, health and safety, Sunday/holiday pay and disputes.
  • Manage headcount and staff costs in alignment with the division's productivity goals.
  • Oversee payroll accuracy for the field force, ensuring bonuses and incentives are processed correctly.

Ideal Profile:

  • Experience: 3+ years of HR experience, with a significant portion dedicated to Retail, Hospitality, or a high-touch service industry. Experience in the Luxury sector is a strong plus.
  • Business Acumen: You understand retail KPIs (Conversion, Average Basket, etc.) and how HR levers can directly influence them.
  • Field-Oriented: You don't just sit in the office; you enjoy being on the floor, meeting teams, and understanding the reality of the POS (Point of Sale).
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence both senior stakeholders and frontline employees.
  • Agility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift based on market trends or seasonal launches.
