We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources & Administration Manager to lead the full spectrum of HR and administrative functions in Malaysia. This role will serve as a strategic HR partner to the business while ensuring full compliance with local labor regulations and corporate governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Strategy & Business Partnering
- Act as a strategic HR partner to the Country Manager and leadership team.
- Align HR initiatives with business objectives, supporting rapid market expansion.
- Drive workforce planning, organizational design, and talent pipeline development.
2. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for commercial, technical, and operational roles.
- Develop local talent sourcing strategies and build strong recruitment channels.
- Strengthen employer branding in the Malaysia market, especially within the building materials and construction sector.
3. Performance & Talent Management
- Implement performance management systems aligned with headquarters framework.
- Drive KPI setting, performance reviews, and talent development planning.
- Identify high-potential employees and develop succession plans.
4. Compensation & Benefits
- Develop competitive and compliant C&B structures aligned with market benchmarks.
- Manage payroll, statutory contributions, taxation, and benefits administration.
- Provide HR analytics and reports to headquarters.
5. Employee Relations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws and regulations.
- Manage employee relations matters, disciplinary actions, and policy implementation.
- Maintain strong communication between local employees and headquarters.
6. Administration & Office Management
- Oversee office administration, vendor management, asset management, and general affairs.
- Ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace environment.
- Support business operations with effective administrative systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 35 years of HR generalist/manager experience, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or building materials industries.
- Solid knowledge of Malaysian labor law and statutory requirements.
- Strong capability in organizational development, performance management, and talent strategy.
- Experience working with multinational companies or Chinese-invested enterprises is preferred.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (to liaise with HQ and Chinese stakeholders).
- Chinese ethnicity preferred due to business communication needs.
- Strong leadership, execution capability, and cross-cultural communication skills.
