Job Description

The Manager, Human Resources will act as a strategic partner to the Energy Sector, working closely with management to align human resources strategies with business objectives. The role will drive key HR initiatives across talent acquisition, employee relations, and organisational development to support a high-performing and engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership within the Energy Sector to align HR strategies with business objectives, providing advisory on organisational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
  • Lead strategic workforce planning and end-to-end talent acquisition to build a strong and sustainable talent pipeline aligned with business needs.
  • Act as HR Business Partner and primary point of contact, providing guidance on employee relations matters and ensuring fair, consistent, and business-aligned outcomes.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention strategies to strengthen organisational culture and enhance overall employee experience.
  • Provide advisory and support on organisational development, team effectiveness, and leadership capability within the Energy Sector.
  • Identify capability gaps and lead targeted learning and development initiatives to support business growth and workforce readiness.
  • Drive succession planning and talent development efforts to strengthen the leadership pipeline.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulatory requirements, and internal HR policies, while advising management on emerging risks and best practices.
  • Oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle, ensuring consistent and effective HR practices from onboarding through to exit.
  • Analyse workforce data and trends to provide insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and present HR insights and reports to management, including key workforce metrics and trends.
  • Lead and support HR initiatives and projects, including culture-building programmes, policy enhancements, and organisational improvement efforts.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with strong exposure in HR Business Partnering.
  • Proven experience in partnering with senior leadership and driving strategic HR initiatives.
  • Experience in the energy, utilities or power generation sector will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate workforce data into actionable insights and support business decision-making.
  • Sound knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and organisational development.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills.
