With campuses across Victoria and South Australia, and continued expansion planned across Australia, we're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to join our growing team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for Australia-based positions, from job advertising and candidate screening through to interviews, reference checks and employment documentation.
- Manage onboarding, induction and probation reviews for Australian employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files and HR databases.
- Support performance management and employee review processes.
- Coordinate employee exits, documentation and exit interviews.
- Review and maintain position descriptions across the organisation.
- Support leave tracking, timesheets and payroll-related HR queries.
HR Compliance & Administration
- Support compliance with Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act 2009, National Employment Standards (NES) and relevant Awards.
- Assist in reviewing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, handbooks and templates.
- Prepare HR documentation and records for internal and external audits.
- Maintain training, professional development and Work Health & Safety (WHS) records.
- Respond professionally and promptly to HR queries from employees and managers.
Employee Support & Engagement
- Contribute to employee wellbeing, engagement and internal communication initiatives.
- Liaise with recruitment agencies and external stakeholders when required.
- Provide HR and administrative support to the HR Director and management team.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline
2–3 years experience in HR administration or a generalist HR role
Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act and NES
Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding and employee administration
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
- Experience in education, training or the RTO sector
- Familiarity with HRIS or payroll systems
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
