Description
The Hydrocarbon Allocation Engineer is responsible for monitoring, validating, and reporting hydrocarbon production and allocation data to ensure accurate production accounting and compliance with operational and regulatory requirements. The role supports production operations by analyzing production data, coordinating with field teams, and ensuring reliable hydrocarbon measurement and allocation across assets.
- Monitor and manage daily hydrocarbon production allocation and reporting activities.
- Ensure accurate allocation of oil, gas, and condensate production from various wells, facilities, and partners.
- Validate and reconcile production data from metering systems, process systems, and operational reports.
- Support production accounting processes and ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze production trends, allocation discrepancies, and measurement data to identify potential issues or improvements.
- Coordinate with offshore operations, process engineers, and instrumentation teams to resolve metering or allocation discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain production allocation reports for internal stakeholders and joint venture partners.
- Support hydrocarbon measurement audits and ensure proper documentation of allocation methodologies.
- Assist in maintaining hydrocarbon allocation systems and databases to ensure accurate production reporting.
- Participate in operational discussions related to production optimization and measurement accuracy.
Requirements
- Minimum degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or any equivalent qualification in related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience and knowledge in oil and gas operations, process, hydrocarbon allocation, basic instrumentations and metering.
- Strong computer literacy
- Analytical skill and comprehensive understanding of production methods.
- Fluency in Engineering, with both spoken and written.
- Strong personal and interpersonal skills with flexibility to meet fluctuating need of cross functional operations support.
- Willingness to travel onshore and offshore.
