Job Title: IaC Senior Engineer (Infrastructure as Code)
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Duration: 12 months (extendable)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled IaC Senior Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with modern IaC tools and scripting, and the ability to transform legacy infrastructure into automated, reusable, and efficient code-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules and templates
- Implement and manage infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Translate existing legacy infrastructure into scalable and automated IaC frameworks
- Automate server provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and automation-related issues
- Collaborate with DevOps, cloud, and engineering teams to ensure efficient infrastructure delivery
- Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for IaC processes and implementations
- Continuously improve infrastructure automation practices and standards
Key Requirements
- 6–10 years of hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation
- Strong expertise in tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell
- Experience in infrastructure automation, server provisioning, and configuration management
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to convert complex or legacy infrastructure into structured IaC templates
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu is an added advantage
- Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing mindset
