: SCADA Engineer (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)

This SCADA Engineer role requires minimum 8 years of experience with Ignition and Kepware, focusing on Modbus and SCADA system design for industries like Oil & Gas, Construction, Pharma, Semicon/Electronics. The position is based in Kuala Lumpur, emphasizing full lifecycle development, integration, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy SCADA systems using Ignition, including data acquisition, tag structures, and historian integrations.

Integrate SCADA with PLCs (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider), ERP/MES, databases via OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus protocols.

Develop configurations with Python scripting, SQL queries, and Kepware for device connectivity and data management.

Required Qualifications

8+ years in SCADA engineering; proven track record in Oil & Gas, Construction, Pharma, Semicon, or large-scale industries.

Strong proficiency in Ignition modules, Kepware, Modbus, Python, SQL, and industrial protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT).

Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related; experience with large project deployments essential.

Preferred Skills

Inductive Automation Certified Ignition Core/Gold/Perspective Developer certification.

Familiarity with high-availability SCADA architectures and cybersecurity best practices for industrial environments.

Ability to collaborate in multi-vendor teams and support commissioning in Malaysia-based sites.
