Role Description

The In-Room Dining Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization, management, administration, and overall operations of the In-Room Dining department. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and exceptional service standards. The Manager is also expected to drive revenue, control costs, support budgeting processes, and maintain productivity while consistently upholding service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the daily operations of the hotel's In-Room Dining department, ensuring efficiency, quality, and service excellence.
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by promptly and professionally handling guest feedback, concerns, and complaints.
  • Monitor, analyze, and control budgeted and forecasted revenue, payroll, and cost of goods to maximize profitability.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, enhance guest satisfaction, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all team members consistently meet established service standards through continuous training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of staff performance, including service audits, and provide constructive feedback and appraisals.
  • Maintain strict adherence to hygiene, safety, and quality standards in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present operational reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to senior management.
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 - 4 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations, with at least 1 year in an Assistant Manager or similar supervisory role preferred.
  • Prior experience as an In-Room Dining Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively in both English and Bahasa Malaysia with a diverse range of guests.
  • Mature, service-oriented individual with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of food and beverage trends, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with restaurant management systems and POS software.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Passionate about the hospitality industry with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop team members.
