Job Description

Job Summary

Ensure incoming materials, components and supplier deliveries meet Stellantis quality standards and customer requirements before release to production. The role is responsible for incoming inspection, supplier quality performance, defect prevention, problem resolution and continuous improvement to minimize supplier-related quality issues and production disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain incoming inspection plans based on quality risk, supplier performance and customer requirements.
  • Ensure incoming materials and components comply with engineering drawings, specifications and applicable quality standards.
  • Coordinate incoming inspection activities and manage the disposition of non-conforming materials.
  • Ensure accepted materials are released to production on time while preventing defective parts from entering the manufacturing process.
  • Monitor supplier quality performance, defect trends and inspection results.
  • Lead investigation of supplier quality issues using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why and Fishbone Analysis.
  • Coordinate supplier corrective and preventive actions (SCAR/CAPA) and verify their effectiveness.
  • Review inspection reports, supplier certifications and quality documentation for compliance.
  • Support containment activities and proper segregation of non-conforming materials.
  • Support APQP and PPAP activities for new parts, suppliers and engineering changes.
  • Participate in supplier process audits, production trials, part validation and supplier-readiness activities.
  • Analyse incoming defects and supplier performance data and drive actions to reduce defects, scrap and production disruptions.
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Logistics, Production, Manufacturing Engineering and Product Engineering to resolve supplier-related quality issues.
  • Support internal, customer and external quality audits.
  • Ensure compliance with Stellantis QMS, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements and applicable safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Incoming Quality, Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance or Manufacturing Quality within the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in supplier quality management and incoming inspection processes.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC.
  • Strong knowledge of structured problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality and supplier performance data.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, particularly when working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Good attention to detail with a strong focus on quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
