Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Lead Industrial Engineering projects. Study and implement measures to improve manufacturing cost and efficiency. Establish plantwide headcount capacity. Assist in setting up IE systems to support manufacturing. Supervise and develop staff. Develop/maintain model for capacity planning incorporating both equipment and labor variables. Update & Maintain Products Routings for Capacity Planning. Establish plant capacity report/weekly updates. Establish and maintain time standards for plant processes. Perform & update UPH or capacity planning purpose; new process, new design etc (logfiles, MOST, etc), when needed. Develop an efficient plant layout taking into consideration equipment requirements and product flow. Lead line balancing activities, when needed. Identify & coordinate projects to improve productivity and cost savings. To stay up to date on latest developments and trends in Industrial Engineering. Develop and maintain equipment database.
Education & Experience
BS Degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Technology or Mechanical Engineering
8 years IE experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
Skills
- AutoCAD knowledge.
- Project Management experience.
- MTM or other work measurement methods.
- Cost conscious.
- Well organized.
