Role Description The Industrial Relations Specialist - Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in WP Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day industrial and employee relations matters, including handling grievances, disciplinary cases, and consultations with internal stakeholders. The position involves supporting collective bargaining processes, maintaining constructive relationships with employee representatives, and ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws and regulations. The role also includes developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies and procedures aligned with Shariah principles and organizational objectives. The Industrial Relations Specialist - Assistant Manager will collaborate closely with HR, business leaders, and external parties to foster a fair, transparent, and compliant working environment.
Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Collective Bargaining and Labor Relations, with experience engaging constructively with employee representatives or unions.
  • Solid background in Employee Relations, including handling grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflict resolution.
  • In-depth understanding of Labor and Employment Law, particularly regulations relevant to Islamic banking and Malaysian employment practices.
  • Experience in developing, interpreting, and implementing HR Policies that support compliance, consistency, and fair treatment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Prior experience in banking, financial services, or a regulated industry is an advantage.
