Job Description

Purpose of the position

The Procurement Intern will support the procurement team in daily sourcing, purchasing, and administrative activities. The role provides hands-on exposure to procurement processes, supplier management, and internal coordination.

Principal responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing materials, equipment, and services as required.
  • Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) to suppliers.
  • Support comparison of supplier quotations and basic cost analysis.
  • Update and maintain purchasing records, price lists, and supplier information.
  • Assist in preparing purchase orders and follow-up on delivery status.
  • Coordinate with internal departments on procurement requirements.
  • Support documentation and filing for audits and compliance.
  • Perform general administrative tasks assigned by the procurement team.

Required key skills (functional/technical)

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain concepts (added advantage).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and willing to learn.

Required qualifications/experience

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in SAP and SRM is added advantage.
