KEY FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :-
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements related to data, reporting, and system integrations
- Analyse source-to-target process flows to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities
- Translate business rules into structured data requirements and definitions
- Produce high-quality documentation including: Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), x`Data Mapping Specifications documents (source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, lookup logic)
- Assist system owners on data profiling, validation, and impact analysis to support change initiatives
- Support data migration, system replacement, and integration projects by ensuring accurate and traceable data mappings
- Work closely with solution architects, developers, and data engineers to clarify data transformation logic
- Validate data mappings through test scenarios and data reconciliation activities
- Ensure alignment with enterprise data standards, governance policies, and regulatory requirements
- Support SIT, UAT, and data validation testing activities
- Define test scenarios completeness according to the business requirements
- Assist in issue analysis, root cause identification, and resolution for defects
- Act as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendors
- Facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, and validation sessions for data-related deliverables
- Support change impact assessments and training materials related to data changes
ROLE REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS :
Core Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or related discipline
- 3–5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in Investment Banking or Capital Market, with strong focus on data analysis or data mapping
- Hands-on experience with: Data mapping and transformation logic, Data migration or system integration projects, Relational databases and data concepts (tables, keys, joins)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to translate complex data concepts into business-friendly language
- Excellent Business Writing skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess organizational skills and good time management
Technical & Tooling Skills
- Proficiency with SQL for data analysis and validation
- Experience using tools such as: Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables); Python, Data modelling or ETL tools (e.g. Informatica, Talend, SSIS – advantage), BI or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau – advantage)
- Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, or hybrid delivery methodologies
