Job Description
This is a contract role, and could be extended based on the performance.
Physical Security. Door Access Control and CCTV Administration
- Prepare access card and process tickets to grant or revoke access while verifying requester qualification and authority before granting elevated access.
- Respond and carried out fault analyse to real-time alarms and violations. Investigate incident with report
- Troubleshoot access control issues (hardware/software/network). Verify that controllers, readers, and locks remain online and replace failed parts.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair all cameras, recorders and server/network connections to prevent downtime.
- Manage user permissions and ensure all operations adhere to organizational policies / SOP.
- Plan, Assess, Recommend improvements for efficiency, security, and scalability.
Backup and Restoration Administration
- Define and execute regular backup jobs for servers, databases, virtual machines, and physical clients. Configure backup policies and retention policies to meet compliance, and business requirements.
- Continuously monitor backup logs and systems to ensure jobs complete successfully. Troubleshoot and resolve any failed backups, performance issues, or system alerts quickly. Prepare weekly report for review.
- Monitor backup storage utilization, manage deduplication, and plan for future growth and capacity needs.
Audio Visual Administration
- Set up, configure and operate Audio-Visual equipment for meetings, conferences, presentations, live events held in the auditorium and meeting room.
- Provide on-site technical support during scheduled events (before, during, after) to ensure seamless execution (cable management, signal routing, microphone/PA checks, camera/tracking if applicable).
- Monitor AV service quality: collect feedback from users, analyse incident logs, identify recurring issues and propose improvements.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
- At least 3-7 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following:
- Veeam Backup & Replication
- Veritas NetBackup
- Rubrik
- Experience with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V and/or Nutanix backups.
- In-depth knowledge of physical access control systems (card readers, biometric systems, door controllers, locks, turnstiles) and their administration.
- Proficiency with CCTV/surveillance systems.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure relating to these systems (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, switches, firewalls).
- Proficiency in AV systems (presentation systems, sound reinforcement, microphones, video-projectors, screens/LED walls, video conferencing systems, signal routing).
