Information Technology Project Manager

Job Description:

1.Report to the Manager, Security Technology & Project Delivery Section and support the execution of strategic cybersecurity initiatives across the organization.

2. Lead and manage the full lifecycle of security-related projects as the Technical Project Manager including defining project scope, work plans, schedules, milestones, and budgets.

3. Recommend, develop, and implement IT security strategies and technologies in alignment with evolving internal needs and emerging external cyber threats.

4.Conduct in-depth research and propose strategic control measures to enhance the organization's security posture, ensuring compliance with internal IT Security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

5.Provide off-hours support when required during critical project phases, system cutovers, or issue escalations to ensure smooth implementation.

6.Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners/vendors to safeguard organizational assets and maintain a resilient security infrastructure.

Top Skills

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent qualifications

2. Minimum 710 years of relevant experience in IT Security technical project management and implementation

3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment

4. Hands-on experience implementing security devices and products in complex, large-scale environments

5. Proven experience evaluating and selecting security technologies, developing strategies, and applying industry best practices

6. Solid understanding of information security frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, NIST)

7. Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory requirements, such as BNM RMiT, PDPA, and PCI DSS

8. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, vendors, and third-party stakeholders

9. Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity initiatives (e.g., SIEM, XDR, PAM, Cloud Security, Security enhancements and upgrades)

10. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

11. Capable of driving tasks from initiation to completion with minimal supervision

12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia

13. Ability to prepare and present clear reporting on project status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and senior management

14. Proactive learner with a willingness to share knowledge and coach team members

15. Experience in a regulated industry, especially banking or financial services, is a strong advantage
