Job Description
Enterprise Sales Manager – Higher
Education
Location: Cyberjaya, Malaysia
Market Responsibility: Malaysia initially, with potential expansion across Singapore and
Hong Kong
Role Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Sales Manager – Higher Education to drive
new institutional revenue by identifying, developing, and closing enterprise technology
opportunities with universities, colleges, and education groups.
This is a consultative enterprise sales role, rather than a lead-generation or relationship-
maintenance position. The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating senior-level
conversations, understanding institutional priorities, developing complex sales opportunities,
and successfully progressing them through to contract closure.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline across universities, colleges, and
education groups.
• Develop relationships with senior decision-makers including Vice-Chancellors,
Presidents, Provosts, Registrars, CIOs, CFOs, Deans, and leaders responsible for
institutional effectiveness, quality, accreditation, admissions, and student services.
• Identify institutional challenges and business needs that can be addressed through
enterprise technology solutions across areas such as admissions, student lifecycle
management, faculty management, curriculum management, assessment,
accreditation, and institutional analytics.
• Lead discovery meetings and translate institutional requirements into clearly defined
commercial opportunities.
• Coordinate product demonstrations, solution workshops, proposals, tenders,
commercial negotiations, and contract closure.
• Develop strategic account plans for priority higher-education institutions.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, including opportunity stages, next actions, decision
criteria, sales forecasts, and pipeline updates.
• Collaborate closely with solution consultants, product teams, and delivery teams
throughout the sales cycle.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing institutional relationships across additional
departments, use cases, and initiatives.
• Represent the organisation at higher-education conferences, industry forums,
networking events, and senior leadership meetings.
• Build and maintain partnerships with education consultants, technology partners, and
influential higher-education networks.
Required Experience
• 5+ years of B2B enterprise technology sales experience, preferably within the higher-
education sector or with universities, colleges, or education groups.
• Proven track record of personally winning complex technology engagements
involving SaaS, ERP, CRM, SIS, LMS, analytics, consulting, or digital
transformation solutions.
• Experience managing end-to-end enterprise sales cycles involving multiple senior
stakeholders, demonstrations, proposals, tenders, commercial negotiations, and
contract closure.
• Established relationships and professional networks within the Malaysian higher-
education ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of institutional procurement, buying processes, and decision-
making structures.
• Ability to communicate business value and commercial outcomes, rather than simply
presenting product features.
• Strong written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
• Malaysian citizen or permanent resident with an established local professional
network.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia.
• Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred due to planned regional expansion across
Singapore and Hong Kong.
• Cantonese exposure would be an additional advantage.
• Experience selling across Southeast Asia.
• Experience selling or working with student information systems, education ERP,
academic management platforms, institutional effectiveness, accreditation solutions,
or enterprise SaaS.
• Familiarity with structured enterprise sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC.
