Infrastructure Specialist (Network)

Location: Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Employment Type: Full-Time | Hybrid Work Model

Salary: Up to RM7,000/month

Role Overview

A leading financial institution is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist (Network) to manage and enhance its enterprise IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, securing, and maintaining scalable systems and network environments that support business continuity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Lead infrastructure and network-related projects aligned with strategic IT goals
Design and implement secure, scalable network and system architectures
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across networks, servers, middleware, and endpoints
Monitor performance of systems including O365, VMware, SAN storage, firewalls, switches, and routers
Manage IT assets, user accounts, backups, and scheduled jobs
Maintain UAT, production, and disaster recovery environments
Identify and mitigate infrastructure risks and vulnerabilities
Execute vulnerability scans and apply remediation measures
Support internal and external IT audits and ensure compliance
Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and IT policies

Candidate Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in:
Network and infrastructure support
AD, Azure, O365, Windows/Linux servers, VMware, Exchange
Firewalls (L2/L3), routers, switches, IDS/IPS, WAF, VPN, VLAN
Backup/restore systems, endpoint protection, MDM, SIEM tools
Protocols: DHCP, DNS, HTTP, SSL, SSH, LDAP, IPSEC
CCNA certification (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and provide after-hours support
Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken)
