Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in WP Kuala Lumpur for an Inspector of Work (Mechanical & Electrical). The role involves inspecting and monitoring M&E works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. The Inspector of Work prepares and updates site inspection reports, records non-conformities, and follows up on corrective actions with contractors and consultants. The role includes coordinating with project managers, site supervisors, and M&E contractors to resolve technical issues and support smooth project delivery. The Inspector of Work also assists in testing and commissioning activities, verifies workmanship quality and material usage, and helps ensure safety and housekeeping standards are maintained on site.

Qualifications

• Possess strong mechanical and electrical (M&E) knowledge, including understanding of building services systems, codes, and relevant regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret M&E drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
• Experience in site supervision, inspection of work, and quality assurance for property development or construction projects.
• Proficiency in basic reporting, documentation, and use of digital tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, site inspection apps).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with project teams, contractors, and consultants.
• Ability to work on-site in WP Kuala Lumpur, manage time effectively, and respond promptly to site issues.
• Certificate in chargeman A4 and register with Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• Certificate of registeration of inspector of work with BEM
• Prior experience in high-rise or large-scale commercial/residential developments is beneficial.
• Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
