Inspector of Works (Architectural)

Job Description:

• To carry out site inspections to ensure compliance with the contact specification and drawings, current legislation and standard policy
• To assist, instruct and advise contactors on site, on matters related to quality control, and the interpretation of contact documents
• To prepare reports on progress, site activities and all other related matters.
• To be responsible for the supervision and monitoring of construction works in accordance with the contract and construction drawings especially in respect of specifications, quality and time of completion.
• To ensure that all materials delivered to site are conform to the approved specifications and the project's inspection test plan.
• To identify all remedial/outstanding works to be carried out and to ensure that those works are carried out by the contactors within the time stipulated in the contracts.
• To regularly report to relevant superiors on the progress of the works and the problem areas encountered especially in respect of defective, outstanding or non-conforming works or delayed works.
• To keep all relevant forms, documents, correspondences and records in respect of the progress of works such as daily work record with encompasses labour force, machinery and weather records.
• To attend all site meetings and technical meetings as directed and when necessary.
• To implement any and all relevant policies, procedures and work constructions as so defined in the Company's Quality Management System
• Any and all other duties as and when assigned from time to time by the superior/management

Job Requirement:

• Diploma/Cert from Technical Institution or above
• At least 3 years working experience in related field
• Initiative and able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, negotiation and reporting skills
• Preferably with experiences in supervising high rise residential product or similar projects
• Registered as Inspector of Works (IOW)
• Willing to be based in Genting
