We are seeking an experiencedInsurance Project Manager (New Business & Underwriting)to lead and manage end-to-end project delivery within theinsurance domain. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise inNew Business (NB)andUnderwriting (UW)processes, along with proven project management capabilities in coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
This role requires ahands-on project leaderwho is highly organized, articulate, and capable of driving projects from planning through execution in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will ensure effective governance, stakeholder alignment, and successful delivery of initiatives related to insurance processes and system enhancements.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & ExecutionLead, plan, and execute projects across thefull project lifecycle, from initiation to delivery.
Develop and maintainproject plans, timelines, resource allocation, and delivery schedules.
Track and manageproject milestones, dependencies, and deliverablesto ensure successful completion.
Coordinate withcross-functional teams, including business, operations, and technology stakeholders.
Maintain effective communication and ensurealignment across teams and senior stakeholders.
Manage stakeholder expectations and proactively address concerns to keep projects on track.
Driveproject governance processes, including status reporting, milestone tracking, and decision management.
MaintainRAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)and implement mitigation strategies.
Monitor project progress and proactively addressscope, timeline, or budget deviations.
Oversee project deliverables related toNew Business (NB) and Underwriting (UW)processes.
Support initiatives involvinginsurance process improvements, system enhancements, or operational changes.
Facilitate discussions aroundrequirements, solution design, and implementation planning.
CoordinateUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)planning and execution.
Ensure readiness for project deployments and operational transitions.
Supportchange management and adoption activitiesto ensure smooth implementation of new processes or solutions.
710 years of experience in Project Management.
Strong domain expertise in theInsurance industry, particularly inNew Business (NB)andUnderwriting (UW)processes.
Proven track record of managingcross-functional teams and complex projects.
Experience working withSoftware Development Life Cycle (SDLC)methodologies.
Familiarity withAgile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery approaches.
Strong experience inproject planning, coordination, and governance.
Excellentcommunication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Strongorganizational, planning, and coordination abilities.
Solidproblem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Ability towork independently while managing multiple priorities.
PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certifications.
Experience indigital transformation or insurance platform modernization initiatives.
Exposure toworkflow automation, process improvement, or operational transformation projects.
