JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gain hands-on experience in Astro's Regulatory & Corporate Affairs team, supporting content advisory, licensing, and compliance activities. This internship offers exposure to media regulations, content governance, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory reporting, providing an opportunity to work closely with internal teams and external regulatory bodies while developing strong research, analytical, and compliance management skills.
What You'll Do:
Content & Advisory Support
Assist in advising internal censorship units, channel custodians, and relevant parties on content suitability across the Astro platform.
Support the facilitation of periodic regulatory training, including preparation of materials and documentation.
Monitor and update content advisory databases, assist in reporting and documentation.
Conduct research on content-related matters and help draft feedback or reports on internal policies, industry practices, or regulatory developments.
Participate in external regulatory activities such as seminars, workshops, and engagement sessions.
Licensing & Compliance Support
Assist in preparing and submitting accurate data reports to regulatory bodies.
Perform administrative tasks including document management, filing, and record-keeping.
Verify and cross-check compliance documents for accuracy and completeness.
Support the review of license-related documents to ensure regulatory compliance.
Help maintain updated records of licenses, permits, and regulatory correspondences.
Assist in internal audits and compliance checks.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather information for compliance submissions.
Provide general support for other compliance-related projects and initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
Liaise with internal stakeholders on content, licensing, and compliance matters.
Coordinate information gathering and follow-ups for regulatory submissions, audits, and compliance activities.
Support the planning and execution of stakeholder engagements, meetings, and training sessions.
Respond to stakeholder enquiries and assist in resolving licensing and compliance-related issues.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely and effective compliance outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS:
Who You Are:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in law, International Relations, Business Management, Communications or a related field.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Prior knowledge of compliance, regulatory affairs, or administrative work is an advantage but not required.
