Ansell is looking for a Intern, Engineer to join our team in Melaka, Malaysia.

In this position you will play a vital role in support continuous improvement initiatives within a glove manufacturing environment. This role focuses on enhancing production efficiency, reducing waste, improving quality, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes, including dipping, curing, inspection, and packaging operations.

Responsibility:-

  • Assist in mapping and documenting end-to-end manufacturing processes (e.g., latex/nitrile glove production lines)
  • Support time studies, workflow analysis, and line balancing activities to improve productivity
  • Collect and analyze production data (e.g., yield, defect rates, downtime) to identify inefficiencies
  • Participate in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects (e.g., 5S, Kaizen)
  • Help identify root causes of defects and support corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Assist in standardizing operations procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), waste reduction, and quality metrics
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance (QA), and Maintenance teams
  • Support compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, ISO)
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for management review

What you will bring

  • Diploma / bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, charts) and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes is an advantage
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
