Job Description

This internship provides structured exposure for students pursuing a degree in Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline to gain an understanding of how business analysis and asset oversight are carried out within an international upstream oil & gas environment.The intern will be part of the International Asset Oversight Team, supporting analytical and reporting activities related to asset performance, economics, and business planning. The role involves working closely with experienced team members, who will provide guidance across analysis, reporting, and coordination processes, ensuring a learning-focused experience with meaningful hands-on exposure. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist in collating and consolidating inputs from various disciplines for periodic asset performance reporting.
  • Support the tracking and understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs), including production and cost-related metrics.
  • Help maintain and update reporting templates, dashboards, and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with documentation and coordination arising from regular asset review meetings.
  • Support the preparation of economic and business evaluations used for internal project reviews.
  • Assist in building and updating basic financial and economic models using Microsoft Excel.
  • Help prepare presentation materials and analysis decks for internal discussions and reviews.
  • Conduct desktop research on macroeconomic trends, commodity prices, and industry developments.
  • Assist in gathering, validating, and organising financial and operational data from different sources.
  • Perform data consistency checks and support basic reconciliation exercises.
  • Contribute to improving the clarity, structure, and presentation of reports and analysis outputs.
  • Provide analytical and administrative support for ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Assist with documentation, meeting materials, and follow-up actions to support team deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in business analysis, economics, asset performance, or corporate planning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to basic financial modelling is an advantage.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with guidance.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A proactive, curious, and self-motivated learner with a positive attitude.
