Job Description

The engagement of an intern is important to strengthen the team's capacity in managing both administrative and operational responsibilities, particularly in preparation for MIFRD's upcoming proposed programmes under the 2026 initiatives including:

  1. MCMC Community (Carers with Special Needs Children or volunteers /active members of society in ASD)
  2. Bridging Digital Divide for the vulnerable group (Jabatan Penjara Malaysia)
  3. Train-the-trainer for special education industry via JPN and JKM
  4. Digital Upskilling Scale Up for PWD Participants Programme
  5. MCMC AI Event

The intern will support background research, data compilation, and information tracking to inform programme design and decision-making. They will also assist in coordinating logistical arrangements, preparing documentation, maintaining records, and supporting stakeholder communications where required. These tasks are essential to the smooth execution of programmes but are time-intensive, and dedicated support will allow officers to focus on higher-level planning, stakeholder engagement, and strategic oversight.

Research & Analysis

  1. Conduct desktop research, benchmarking, and literature reviews to support programme planning, enhancement, and strategy development.
  2. Collect, compile, and summarise relevant information into clear and accessible reports or briefs for internal use
  3. Support evaluation and impact studies by assisting with research design, data gathering, and preliminary analysis

Programme Support

  1. Assist in upcoming/ongoing programme and initiative within the Division
  2. Collaborate with team members to achieve initiative/programme's objective
  3. Assist in planning and executing awareness and outreach activities, events, etc. as needed
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, assist in liaising with external stakeholders to ensure successful initiative/programme implementation

Data & Information Management

  1. Assist in maintaining accurate databases of programme records
  2. Support data entry, cleaning, and organisation to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency
  3. Compile and analyse data insights to support programme monitoring and improvements

Reporting & Documentation

  1. Assist in preparing programme documentation, presentation materials, and management reports
  2. Record and summarise meeting discussions, follow-ups, and action points
  3. Ensure consistency and professionalism in all reporting outputs

Administrative Support and Others

  1. Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and communications related to MIFRD's activities
  2. Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations within the division
  3. Undertake any additional duties as required by MIFRD

Qualifications/Courses/Studies Background

  • Currently pursuing a Degree in Event Management, Business Administration, or related fields from Malaysian higher learning institutions with a minimum CGPA of 3.2/4.0;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
