What you'll be doing:

Intern to assist the Finance & Accounting team (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash) on day-to-day operational support, perform various administrative tasks and also to have an opportunity to participate in Finance departmental projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Learn and apply basic day-to-day work, activities, or projects in global shared services environment.
  • Processes payments/collections & invoices within closely defined procedures.
  • Verify calculations, cheques or allocate codes and/or obtain information for incomplete documents.
  • Assist in statements reconciliation and escalate the complex issues to Supervisor.
  • Participate and support in staff engagement initiative.
  • Involve in exploring on how to identify and achieve improvement opportunities within the team and other process teams through continuous improvement (CI).
  • Involve in process automation, simplification and transformation projects.
  • Help to provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist supervisor in month-end and year-end closing activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Currently a student in Finance and/or Accounting Degree or equivalent
  • Possess good understanding of basic accounting terminology and articulation of accounting concept in day-to-day work
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Applications with good numeric and reconciliation skills
  • Meticulous and have a keen eye for details to ensure high-quality work output
  • Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills in English
  • Resourceful, self-starter and a good team player
