Tech Intern (Software Engineering / Platform / Mobile / QA)
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

About the Role

We are looking for passionate and driven Tech Interns to join our Engineering teams across multiple domains including Backend, Frontend, Mobile (React Native), Platform, and Quality Assurance.

As a Tech Intern at MOVE, you will gain hands-on experience working on real products and systems, contributing to meaningful projects while learning from experienced engineers and leaders. This internship is designed to provide exposure to modern engineering practices, tools, and real-world problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering & Development

• Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining software components under guidance from senior engineers

• Contribute to building scalable and efficient solutions across web, mobile, or backend systems

• Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

2. Learning & Collaboration

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and QA

• Participate in team discussions, sprint planning, and code reviews

• Learn and apply best practices in software development, including version control and CI/CD

• Actively seek feedback and continuously improve technical skills

3. Quality & Testing (for QA interns)

• Assist in test case creation, execution, and reporting

• Support automation testing initiatives where applicable

• Identify bugs and work with engineers to ensure timely resolution

Required Qualifications & Experience

Basic Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields

• Basic understanding of programming concepts and software development fundamentals

• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript, Python, etc.)

• Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and take ownership of assigned tasks

• Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to frameworks such as React, React Native, Spring Boot, or Node.js

• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems

• Basic understanding of APIs, databases, or cloud platforms

• Experience in personal, academic, or open-source projects
