Position Overview:
The Operation Senior Executive (IWDC) plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, supporting strategic warehouse initiatives, and ensuring alignment between regional operations and corporate objectives. The candidate will serve as a key coordination point between international warehouse teams and headquarters, providing performance insights, facilitating process optimization, and supporting new warehouse setups and expansion projects. The role requires strong operational acumen, cross-cultural adaptability, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight & Governance
- Provide operational oversight and guidance to international warehouse teams to ensure standardized practices and reporting structures are implemented consistently.
- Monitor warehouse performance metrics, including distribution efficiency, capacity planning, and forecast alignment, and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Identify operational gaps, escalate key risks, and present actionable recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure system integrity and support troubleshooting efforts to maintain seamless warehouse operations.
Strategic Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support the planning and execution of new warehouse setups, relocations, and expansion initiatives across international markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement process enhancements and operational transformation initiatives.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as liaison between local warehouse management and headquarters to ensure alignment on operational objectives and reporting requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication across multicultural teams and international markets.
International Deployment & Support
- Be prepared for international assignments, including long-term deployment to support warehouse setup, operational stabilization, and capability strengthening.
- Provide on-ground support during critical operational phases to ensure performance targets and governance standards are met.
Requirements:
- Minimum 46 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, distribution planning, or supply chain management.
- Proven exposure to regional or international warehouse operations is preferred.
- Experience in warehouse setup, expansion projects, or operational transformation initiatives is an advantage.
- Strong analytical capability with experience in performance tracking, capacity planning, and process optimization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with WMS systems is desirable.
- Willingness to be based overseas (e.g., South Africa) for an extended assignment period.
