Job Description

What To Expect
We are looking for an Aftersales Data and Systems Intern to help us understand, document and improve our service systems, data pipelines and automation toolset. You will learn how our service systems and data pipelines work, write them up so others can use and maintain them, and then improve them through automation, analysis, forecasting research and a first version of an analytics tool for our service centers.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You will present your research and ideas directly to the team leads, get a go / no-go decision, and then build what you proposed.

What You'll Do

  • Learn how our service centers operate by shadowing front-line teams and the weekly performance reporting process
  • Document our service systems, key service metrics and the processes behind them, so that someone new can follow them without help
  • Read, run and document our existing Python and SQL automation scripts and data pipelines, and maintain them as requirements change (e.g. adding or removing fields)
  • Help troubleshoot system and data issues alongside the team, and turn each fix into a written, repeatable procedure
  • Plan the migration of our scheduled automation jobs to a notebook-based platform (JupyterLab), covering which jobs move, in what order and with what risks, then pilot the move with 1–2 low-risk jobs
  • Explore service data to find trends and patterns, and present what you find in plain language
  • Research forecasting approaches suited to our data (e.g. naive baselines, moving averages, exponential smoothing, machine-learning models), test them on historical data, and present a short written recommendation
  • Build the first version of a Python-based desktop analytics tool for teams
  • Research improvement ideas raised by the team, present them for a go / no-go decision, and carry out the approved ones

  • What You'll Bring

  • Entry-level knowledge of Python (required)
  • Strong documentation skills: able to take something complex and summarize it clearly and concisely for others
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools: you understand where AI is useful and have built at least one project with it
  • Systems thinking: you are curious about how a business process and the systems behind it turn into data, and how that data can be used to make decisions
  • Familiarity with Jupyter Notebook is a plus
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken; Mandarin is a plus
  • Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, asks good questions and follows through
  • Available full-time and on-site in Cyberjaya for 6 month period
